What will you make of 2013?

Hello my fellow human Beings:

Welcome to the start of a new calendar year!  WELCOME TO 2013!!!!

What will you make of 2013?

Will you live it as a cold, dreary, blustery year filled with complaints, bah-hum-bugs, and with an ice-covered heart?  Will you let the facts of the weather, the economy, your job (or lack of one), your health issues, your family strifes or your financial woes drag you into the doldrums of despair?  Will you see the world and live your life through grey-tinted, bleak-focused frames?

 …. or ….

Will you put on your love-rimmed glasses, open your heart and mind to new hopes and dreams, and live 2013 as your best year yet?

You see you each get to make 2013 what you want it to be by your outlook, your perspective, your mindset, your actions and your reactions.

You have the power to make 2013 your worst or best year yet.

Robin Sharma, lawyer turned motivational speaker, consultant to organizations like Microsoft, Nike, NASA and KPMG, and one of the world’s top leadership and success coaches has this advice for making a great year, in his book, The Greatness Guide:

“As you live your hours, so you create your years.  As you live your days, so you craft your life.  What you do today is actually creating your future.  The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat, and the actions you take are defining your destiny –shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for.  Small choices lead to giant consequences – over time.  There’s no such thing as an unimportant day.”

So as we start this new year, take the time to pause, be still, meditate, and reflect on what you want to make 2013 to be for you starting one day at a time.

As for me, I plan to make 2013 my greatest year yet by being:

  • More patient;
  • More kind;
  • More generous;
  • More loving;
  • More Truly ME.

May you all choose to make 2013 your best year yet and may you all live abundantly!
