Have you found your home yet?

Hello my fellow human Beings:

They say, ‘home is where the heart is’, not necessarily the place you lay your head to sleep or where you keep your clothes.

In The Ultimate Happiness Prescription, Deepak Chopra offers another interpretation on where home is.  He writes:

“To seek enlightenment is to seek your true self. Enlightenment is the most aware state of existence and also the most natural, because it is where you came from. Your home is a place of profound love, peace and joy. When you return there, you will experience yourself as one with God. At that moment, you will realize your desire for happiness was only the beginning. .Your deepest desire was for the freedom that comes with complete awakening.”

Well, I thought this passage was appropriate as I leave for a silent meditation retreat in search of my true self, my place of profound love, peace and joy, MY HOME.

In this time of new school years and new beginnings, perhaps you can all contemplate whether you have found your home within yet.

Find moments to be still,

to be present in the now,

to seek your true self,

to connect with your awareness of God within,

to be love, peace and joy,

to be home,

and to live more abundantly!

  1. StillValerie, this is “so you”! You have a great way with words and wisdom, and I’m so happy to see that you are sharing it! Can’t wait to receive blog notifications when you post something new! Love the name of the blog too. Your mom’s quote and this post are my favourite so far. Big squishy & still hugs!

    • Thanks Scuzzin Renee! I’m glad you like the blog. I’m just living authentically and I hope to connect more with family, friends and other fellow human Beings whether near or far.
