Are you afraid to be your brilliant you?

Hello my fellow human Beings:

Do you sometimes feel that it is easier to keep with the status quo, than to take a leap of faith into the unknown and try something different? Do you prefer staying in that safe place that you know (no matter how miserable you may feel in it), than cutting the strings and jumping into uncertainty?

Yes, it can be scary. If you’re risk averse like me, then you know that clinging to that branch on the edge of the cliff feels safer, than letting go and taking a risk.

You worry, what if? what if? what if?

But, what if you don’t? What if your whole life you played it safe, never venturing to be unique, never stretching yourself beyond your comfort zone? What would you be losing? What would you not be gaining?

In her book, A Return to Love, Marianne Williamson writes a poem, “Our Deepest Fear” in which she notes:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?  Actually who are we not to be? …  when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”

So don’t be afraid to shine – showcase your talents to the world. BE THE BEST YOU YOU CAN BE.

Don’t let the worries of “what will others think?” hold you back from expressing your true potential. Don’t let FEAR prevent you from taking that next step, or hop, or leap.

Start by being still, IMAGINE BIG, and take, even just a small risk, towards being YOUR BRILLIANT, UNIQUE YOU.

Reap the rewards of letting your light shine and enjoying an abundant life, and let others experience it too.
