In a City of Millions of People Do You Feel Lost and Alone?

Hello my fellow human Beings:

Despite living in the biggest metropolis in Canada, I, like many of you, can feel lost and alone from time to time dealing with our own personal set of issues, trials and tribulations.

Instead of reaching out to our community for assistance, we may try to tackle our issues alone feeling that we should be capable of handling it solo or that it may show us as weak if we ask for help.

We may even feel like the “God” we believe in (whether the Godness within us or others) has forsaken us in our darkest hour.

Yet, I am reminded of the words from Margaret Fishback Powers’ poem, Footprints, which reads as follows:

“My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.”

So instead of isolating ourselves with our egos to handle life situations, why don’t we reach out to a loved one, friend or acquaintance in our community and let them know what we are going through? Perhaps they can offer a solution or at least a sympathetic ear to let us know that we are loved.

Let the God of the Universe hear your concerns and then sit or walk in nature to receive feedback from the stillness.

Above all, remember you are not alone, you are loved, and you can find the joy, peace and love you seek through the stillness within and your connection to all.

We’re all in this together, you know.
